Services

Often tempting to put off, estate planning is vital for protecting your assets, ensuring your wishes are honored, and providing peace of mind. It’s also a final act of kindness to loved ones, saving them the stress of uncertainty and contentious probate proceedings when their focus should be elsewhere.

Even with the best plan in place, someone still has to carry it out. Whether the issue is simply empowering a personal representative to do their job, administering a trust, or a more contentious proceeding, Overlid Law can assist in carrying-out a loved one’s wishes.

Disputes are unavoidable in life, and - when they are challenging to resolve - it can be helpful to work with someone who has experience in facilitating agreement. As a Rule 114 qualified neutral, Mr. Overlid can help cut through the emotions and negotiate pragmatic results everyone can live with.

From contract disputes and personal injury claims to property disagreements and business conflicts, our team provides comprehensive representation in civil matters, working diligently to protect your rights and achieve favorable resolutions, whether through negotiation, mediation, or aggressive courtroom advocacy.

My philosophy.

“Philosophy” is such a high-minded idea for a set of services so firmly grounded in reality. Even so, it’s a question I’m asked a lot in various forms, “What’s your philosophy?", “What’s your approach?”, etc. It’s a fair question, though, because the attorney-client relationship is very much shaped by how well attorney and client “click” with one another, so I’ll answer it simply:

Practical approach, pragmatic solutions. That’s it. I try not to make problems more complicated than they are, because complicated problems are expensive and stressful problems. By focusing on the core issues - whether in estate planning, probate proceedings, or mediation - my goal is always to efficiently identify the best path forward, so my clients can get on with their lives.
